This banana-free Creamy Peach Green smoothie is the perfect paleo, AIP, filling smoothie to kickstart your day. It’s thick, slightly sweet and has a little zing from the fresh ginger!
This is not your average green smoothie! It’s creamy, zingy, slightly sweet and so satiating. If you have peaches at home right now, do yourself a favour and freeze one for this smoothie ASAP! I’m a peach lover, but frozen peaches are a different kind of magical. They’re slushy, yet creamy and add the perfect level of sweetness to this green smoothie.
It’s hard to make creamy smoothies without bananas. But again, frozen peaches and avocado do the trick in this banana-free smoothie. One of the keys to a good smoothie is adding your ingredients to your blender in the right order. As a general rule, you want to begin with your liquids. Next, layer in your other ingredients beginning with the softest items and leaving frozen foods/fruit and ice for last.
Here’s what you’ll need for this Creamy Peach Green smoothie …
- Frozen peach – You’ll need one chopped frozen peach. I like to chop a couple peaches up when I buy them and keep in the freezer for recipes like this.
- Spinach – makes this a green smoothie and provides it with additional fiber and many vitamins and nutrients.
- Ginger – This adds a delicious zing and warmth.
- Avocado – You can use fresh or frozen avocado here. This provides additional creaminess and thickens the smoothie.
- Collagen and Bone Broth Powder – I like to use grass-fed beef bone broth powder here along with collagen. These provide protein, amino acids and a range of other nutrients.
- Vanilla Extract and Cinnamon – Ensure you’re using 100% pure vanilla extract. Cinnamon adds additional delicious flavour here that really complements the peach.
- Coconut Milk – As with all my AIP recipes, you’ll want to use full fat, additive free coconut milk. This means the ingredients are just coconut and water. It’s super creamy, thick and delicious.
FAQs
Can I use fresh peaches?
The creamy texture here comes from the frozen peach. Simply slice your fresh peach and pop it in the freezer overnight to use the next morning!
Can I use liquid bone broth instead of powdered?
Yes. 1 TBSP bone broth powder is probably about 1/4 cup liquid bone broth. You can definitely substitute it, but it will make the smoothie a thinner consistency.

Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed!
Lucinda
Very yummy and refreshing! I did add a bit of coconut water to help it start blending and I didn’t have bone broth powder so I used half an avocado instead of a fourth. I will make it again!
Carolyn
This was delicious! A refreshingly different take on a typical smoothie. Thank you!
Julia
